COVID-19 Message

UPDATED May 11, 2020

Dear Parents and Student Travelers,

Green Light Travel & Tours is deeply saddened by those who have been affected and impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world. We have been monitoring guidelines issued by the State Department and CDC to best manage our educational tours to the historical east coast.

What is the status of my tour program?

We’re worked with Group Leaders on a case-by-case basis, to determine the best solution for each tour, prioritizing the most immediate departure dates first. Safety remains our number one priority, and we will only operate a tour program when the destination is safe and viable. We appreciate your continued trust and partnership.

What options are available?

Our team is currently working with your Group Leader to outline the options available to your group. Options include rebooking future travel, traveling in 2021 and cash refunds.

Traveler well-being and safety is one of our top priorities. Green Light has implemented the following measures:

We have implemented additional training for our Tour Directors, Course Leaders, and other staff to encourage best hygiene practices. Our partner airlines, bus companies, hotels, restaurants, sites, and venues have implemented new cleaning protocols to decrease the spread of germs. Participants will be required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. We are also offering participants and their families to purchase an upgraded double occupancy room. Our groups leaders will have the latest information on all of these policies and guidelines.

These best practices include frequent hand washing, practicing social distancing protocols, wearing a face mask, and refraining from unnecessary touching of surfaces or people. Hand sanitizer will be provided on tour each day from a large dispenser on the motor coach. We have implemented shorter days of touring to allow trip participants more sleep. Our Hotel and Airline partners have implemented upgraded hygiene and cleaning protocols. We will continue to follow developments that might affect our itineraries to avoid any unnecessary risk factors and comply with special instructions issued by local officials. We are committed to providing the high-quality educational experience you are expecting.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these unusual current circumstances!
