Getting Started

From our Customer Service team to our experienced guides, we are committed to maintaining exceptional standards for our student travelers. Each one of our guides is booked far in advance based on feedback from our groups.

Student Questions

Are there any scholarships?

Select schools do offer scholarships for their trips.  Please check with your program leader or your teacher to see if your school qualifies.

What kinds of meals are provided?

Your student will enjoy a full American breakfast at the hotel or at a local restaurant. Groups typically eat at fast food courts or cafeteria-style lunches. Dinners are either buffets or sit –down and kid-friendly. See your registration letter for more details. GLST will work to accommodate special diets if given advance notice. Please contact your Program Leader or teacher and make him/her aware of any special dietary requirements prior to the tour.

Does my child get to choose his or her roommates?

Most students get to choose their own roommates at the discretion of the teacher. Ultimate approval of all roommate selections rests with the Program Leader. Students are placed with the same gender, four to a room with double beds in each room.

Packing List:

For all domestic flights please limit your baggage to one carry on and one personal item (i.e. purse, backpack).
The bottom line for any trip abroad: Pack light! Keep in mind you’ll be toting your own luggage around at the airports and hotels, so bring only what you need—ideally in one suitcase and one carry-on bag.

Registration Questions

I missed the registration deadline. Is there still space available?

There is always a chance that space may still be available and there is no risk to register if your child is placed on a waitlist. For faster service, register online at www.greenlighstudenttravel.com or call (415) 671-6444. Otherwise, please contact the Program Leader for a registration form.

We will do our best to accommodate you. If your child’s program is leaving in less than 75 days:
(1) full payment is required with your registration, and (2) your child is automatically placed on a waitlist until it is determined whether a bus seat and/or airline seat can be secured. In the rare instance, space does not become available, you will receive a full refund. If your child registers after the group’s final payment deadline, a late registration fee (10% of the tour cost) is added to the base tour price.

How many students are signed up for the trip?

Please check with your child’s Program Leader for this information. The leader will have the most recent participant counts.
